My Ideal Set-Up

If you've spent any amount of time with me in the last 6 months you know that I'm about 2 seconds from chopping off my entire right limb. Too much time on the computer combined with an old squeaky (but cute) turquoise kitchen chair is just killing my hand and arm. Last month I bought a new mouse, a fancy mouse that is supposed to relieve wrist and arm pain. Well it doesn't. If anything, the pain just moved to a new place on my arm. And it's hard to use. So then I installed one of those underdesk keyboard trays. It has a wrist pad built in, and my mouse pad also has a fancy gel pad. I even traded out the squeaky cute chair for my old office chair.

When it's all said and done, in addition to the hand and arm pain, I now have crazy pain in my shoulder, right where it all started in the beginning. I don't get it. My workstation ergonomics are exactly like the illustration above, this girl is ME. I swear. Look she even has a turquoise shirt on, gaucho pants, glasses and highlights just like me. I promise I'm doing everything right.

It HAS to be my chair.

So today Dallas sends me this:*angels singing*

Now I don't know if he was suggesting that it was the cure to all my ailments, or he was simply recommending it for Everything Turquoise (he's very helpful like that), but I quickly concluded that the Cobi Chair from Steelcase is the answer to my prayers. It will be mine (after they respond to my email confirming this chair is for people who spend the majority of their waking hours staring at their computer screen.)

Unfortunately, before I ever laid eyes on my new chair, I spent my newly acquired birthday funds on these Italian head turners that I'd been drooling over forever. Like the chair, utterly stylish, yet entirely practical (but sadly not tax-deductible).


Happy birthday to me. It was a very good day. :)

Birthday Treats

My birthday week is off to a great start! Yesterday I went to renew my drivers license...it was about time since I was a brunette in the last picture. And since I was nearby, I went to cash in my Cold Stone free birthday treat coupon. Yummy! I'm trying to get all my work for tomorrow done today, so I can have the day off before my family birthday extravaganza in the evening. We'll be dining on Ann Lander's meatloaf. Now that is a birthday treat.

Secret Garden

I have some VERY exciting news to share with you today. Victoria Secret has brought back their Secret Garden shampoos/conditioners. I'll let that news sink in here for a second.

Not only do the shampoos/conditioners come in 4 scents (Amber Romance not shown...I never really liked that one), but they're now also offering flexible hold hair spray in ALL the scents. Très exciting, people. You don't know how yummy this shampoo smells. Not only does it smell yummy during application, but it lingers ALL day. And say you're walking to your car during a little drizzle, it's like a little present from the rain gods, I swear. I can't speak any more highly of this shampoo.

I'm a little disappointed (well, really disappointed) that they don't offer the Strawberry and Champagne scent anymore, as that and Love Spell were my favorites. But I can't wait to try Pure Seduction and Berry Kiss. And to smell like college Erin in the Love Spell all over again.

If they ever go and make the unfortunate decision to discontinue their So Sexy hair line, I don't know what I'll do. You just don't get more delightfully feminine-smelling hair from anything I've ever tried. So lets all sit back and be thankful for this extraordinary time in Victoria Secret hair care. ;)

Isn't this cat cartoon cute?? (and so true??) They're missing lazy Spencer's favorite though (other than The FLOP), where he half sits/half stands propped up against a wall. He's such a lazy boy.

I was going to go to bed over 3 hours ago (7 hours earlier than my as-of-late-normal), but then this and that, and internet cartoons, and now it's past 11. I had a great weekend.....the highlight being Jen's wedding yesterday. I laughed, I cried (although not as hard as Claire imitates), and didn't get nearly enough sleep last night. I just took the photos off my camera and will upload them to my photo page soon. Jen was an absolutely beautiful bride. I couldn't be any happier for her and Ryan.

And now I'm going to bed.

Picture Messaging for iPhone!

Well happy birthday to me!

We know many of our iPhone customers are eager for an update on our rollout schedule for Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS). We’ve been working for the past several months to prepare our systems and network to ensure the best possible experience with MMS when it launches – and that launch date is: September 25 for iPhone 3G and 3GS customers. MMS will be enabled through a software update on that day.

The service will be available at no additional cost to iPhone customers with a text messaging plan. Read more about it here. No word on tethering yet, but I'm not antsy for that.
